About RefBite

RefBite is a food referral and shop growth platform for restaurants, cafés, tiffin services, and party venues. Owners get a public storefront, menu, offers, Refer & Earn, orders, billing, captain staff accounts, WhatsApp bill/offer sharing, and Share Studio for Status & Reels.

Customers discover shops on the home directory, view menus and deals, build custom party packages, and receive clear bills on WhatsApp.

How does RefBite work? (big picture)

   Register & complete profile

   Create your shop account, finish profile details and photos, get approved, and go live on RefBite.

   Build menu items, create captain logins for staff, and publish discount offers / Refer & Earn.

   Take Order → Bill → WhatsApp

   Staff take walk-in orders, prepare bills with discounts, track payment, and share the bill link on WhatsApp.

   Promote & win parties

   Share offers socially, create WhatsApp Status & Reels, and let guests build custom food packages for bookings.

Register shop

New owners tap Register Shop and create an account with owner name, shop name, address, mobile, and password. The shop starts under review and typically receives a free trial package.

• Use a real mobile number — it is used for login and customer contact.
• After registration, log in and finish profile completion so your public page can go live.
• Main Admin reviews and approves shops; an active package keeps the storefront online.

Benefit: You get a professional online presence on RefBite without building a separate website.

Profile completion

A complete profile is required for a strong public page. Owners open Complete Profile / Settings and fill:

• Shop email and accurate address
• Map location (latitude / longitude) for directions
• Shop logo
• Portfolio photos (typically 5–10 images) for gallery and home directory cover
• Opening hours, delivery, parties, tiffin, FSSAI, and other shop details as applicable

Until the profile is complete and the shop is approved with an active package, the public storefront may stay limited. Keep photos sharp — home cards look best around 1200×720 landscape.

Benefit: Better discovery, trust, and conversion when guests see real photos, hours, and contact info.

Menu items

Owners manage the menu from the dashboard. You can adopt dishes from the RefBite platform catalog or add your own items.

• Categories (biryani, pizza, drinks, and more)
• Short codes for fast entry while taking orders
• Veg / non-veg type, serve size, description, and images
• Multiple sizes with prices (and optional estimated cost for profit views)
• Variant groups (spice level, toppings, crust, etc.) with free or paid extras
• Toggle availability — hide items that are out of stock

The same menu powers the public page, online menu, Take Order, billing, and custom party packages.

Benefit: One menu everywhere — guests order what you actually sell; staff bill accurately.

Captain account

Captains are waiter / floor staff accounts created by the shop owner (name, mobile, password), linked to that shop, with a login / QR link.

• Enabled captains can use Take Order for walk-in guests.
• Optional permission View All Orders lets captains manage orders, update status, cancel, and use Make Bill (without master password).
• Owners can reset captain passwords and enable/disable accounts anytime from profile settings.

Benefit: Owners stay in control while staff take orders quickly on the floor — no sharing the owner login.

Take Order

Take Order is the walk-in order screen for owners and enabled captains. No customer QR is required.

• Choose dining, self-pickup, or delivery
• Optional table / space selection
• Customer name and mobile
• Add items via search, categories, or fast item codes
• Apply customisations (sizes & variants) before confirming

Each order is tagged with who placed it and flows into order management and billing.

Benefit: Faster service at the table, cleaner kitchen tickets, and fewer handwritten mistakes.

Billing system

RefBite turns completed orders into clear customer bills:

• Select unbilled orders and open Make / Prepare Bill
• Apply active discount offers and eligible Refer & Earn discounts
• See subtotal, discounts, optional GST, and final payable amount
• Set payment status: fully paid, partially paid, or udhar (not paid)
• Track everything later in Order History with filters and PDF reports

Platform subscription packages (free trial and paid plans) are separate: owners pay via UPI / bank details listed in Payment Packages; Main Admin activates days so the shop stays live.

Benefit: Transparent totals for guests and clean payment tracking for the shop.

WhatsApp bill sharing

After a bill is created, open Order History and tap WhatsApp next to that bill:

• Ready message with shop name, bill number, date, customer, total, and payment status
• Secure public bill link — customer can view / print without logging in
• When mobile is saved, WhatsApp opens that customer’s chat directly

Benefit: Fewer “how much do I owe?” calls; guests keep a digital bill they can reopen anytime.

Discount offers

Owners create offers from the Offers dashboard:

• Types: percentage off, flat amount, buy-one-get-one, combo, or special
• Validity dates plus optional daily time windows (happy hours)
• Minimum bill amount, all items or selected items
• Optional “requires referral” so only referred guests unlock the deal

Active offers appear on the public shop page and RefBite home cards, and can apply on bills. Share via WhatsApp link, banner PNG (Status / Instagram / Facebook), or Share Studio creatives.

Benefit: Fill slow hours, increase bill value, and promote deals where customers already chat.

Reels & WhatsApp Status (Share Studio)

From the owner dashboard, Share Studio turns shop photos, logo, portfolio, menu shots, and live offers into:

• WhatsApp Status stills with discount badges and food-themed layouts
• Short reels with templates, animations, and optional background audio

Daily reel downloads follow your plan’s quota (free vs paid). Clear the canvas anytime and rebuild a fresh creative in minutes.

Benefit: Daily social promotion without hiring a designer for every post.

Food packages (Customize / Make Party Package)

What it is: Guests build their own party food menu from the restaurant’s live dishes — Welcome Drinks, Starter, Meal, Dessert, or custom buckets — with an estimated total.

Owners can also publish ready-made party packages (guest count, price, item buckets) on the public page.

   Drag or tap dishes from the left scrollable menu into buckets on the right.

   Estimate, PDF, call

   Review estimated amount, download PDF, then call the owner for final party price and offers.
